His photographic career has spanned 25 years within an ever-changing industry and he is a member of the HELD collective, a London based international collective of social documentary photographers that has global coverage of all types of visual storytelling.
He studied at the prestigious Salisbury College of Art, England from 1984-87 before embarking on a photographic career that has taken him all over the world shooting a wide range of assignments.
A traditional photographer at heart he still regularly shoots on film as well as embracing new technologies, but loves photography for the art form it is. He classes himself as a documentary photographer although has worked commercially during his long love affair with the medium.
He is currently a lecturer in photography in North West England, a role that allows him to pass on and impart his knowledge and work ethics to the next generation of aspiring photographers, teaching a very broad range of learners, for several examination boards and levels: NCFE, City & Guilds, University of Arts London (UAL) and BTEC up to Level 5.

He also offers private and group tuition in various areas of photography and is a firm believer in pushing personal photographic projects to maintain creativity.
